Privacy Policy

Short summary

PromptFinderAI requires no account. Your preferences are stored only in your browser (localStorage) and are never sent to our servers. If you use "Open in …" buttons, the prompt text may be sent to the selected third-party AI provider.

1. What data do we collect?

We do not collect data that directly identifies you. Specifically:

  • We don't ask for name, email, or phone number (no registration or login required).
  • Values you type into prompt variable fields stay in your browser only; we don't intentionally store them server-side.
  • Our hosting provider may retain standard server access logs (IP address, request time, page URL). These logs are kept briefly for operational purposes.
  • Our database service stores aggregate prompt like and copy counts in a way that cannot be linked to individual users.

2. Device-stored data (localStorage)

Preferences such as like state are stored only in your browser's localStorage. They are not automatically transmitted to our servers. Clearing your browser or site data removes them.

3. Analytics and event tracking

The Site records certain interactions (prompt open, copy, like, category open) anonymously to our own database. These events are processed without storing IP addresses and are not used to build individual user profiles.

We currently do not use Google Analytics or similar third-party tracking tools.

4. Third-party redirects

"Open in ChatGPT", "Open in Claude", "Open in Gemini" buttons generate a link that includes the prompt text as a URL parameter. When you click these links, your data is sent to the respective third-party provider and their privacy policy and terms of service apply.

Please do not enter sensitive personal information (national ID, financial details, health data, etc.) into these fields.

5. Cookies

Technical cookies may be used for core site functionality (e.g., language preference). We currently do not add advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Additional technical session cookies may be used for a limited, authenticated content-management context.

6. Your rights (GDPR / applicable law)

Under the GDPR and other applicable regulations, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of your personal data. Given our data minimization approach, the information we retain about you is extremely limited.

To exercise these rights, you may use the legal mechanisms available in your jurisdiction or your local data protection authority, as applicable.

7. Security

We practice data minimization, avoid storing personal data server-side, and use secure connections (HTTPS) in production. Nevertheless, no data transmission or storage over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
